Will metrino pods bring Manesar closer to Gurgaon

Ever thought of travelling in a driverless taxi to your office? Well, this is soon going to be reality in the national capital. Gear up for the ride!

If the sources are to believed, Gurgaon is soon going to be linked to Manesar through Metrino Pods that would ply over National Highway-8. The central government is planning to bring this project on the median of the highway stretch. These pods are expected to be fully automatic and driverless vehicle that can carry up to five passengers at a single time. This will be first such project in India and is expected to be funded by foreign investors.

Since the investment required is almost ten times lower than metro project, the fares are expected to remain nominal.

Currently, the stretch remains congested during office hours and the travel time between the two points is as high as 90 minutes. This is one of the reasons that have kept the end-users at bay for investing in Manesar, while they are working in Gurgaon and pay extra rent to live close to office.

Studying the impact:
Manesar is currently conceived as an affordable housing hub whereas Gurgaon is attractively priced and known for its luxury offerings. Once the connectivity gets operational, the property values are expected to reach at equilibrium. “Manesar have the potential to appreciate but lack of social infrastructure has kept the increment to lower end. Once the area gets connectivity, a double digit appreciation would be obvious,” says Abdul Rehman, Kellergy Properties.

As per the surveyed data, the region offers flats, builder floor and plots. The supply is enormous and buyers have ample options to choose from.

Similar plans are being conceived in Ghaziabad to improve inter-city connectivity.

Being one of the closest neighbourhoods to Gurgaon, Manesar can be your choice if living in an affordable address is your choice and travelling via. pods appeals to you.
